Aloha! I’m a visual designer, calligrapher, lettering artist, and photographer based in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi.
Originally from Portland, Oregon, I took my first calligraphy class freshman year of high school and I was hooked. That was all it took for me to re-enroll every semester throughout my high school experience.
My love for calligraphy led me to study graphic design at the Seattle Central Creative Academy and typeface design at the Type@Cooper condensed program at The Cooper Union in New York City. The principles, discipline, and patience I learned through calligraphy have deeply influenced my work as a designer — particularly my attention to layout and detail.
What I enjoy most about being a visual designer is helping brands elevate or reimagine their identity. Seeing the evolution from what was to what it becomes is such a rewarding process to be a part of.
My approach to any new role is simple: do great work, keep growing, and hopefully make the people and environment around me a little better too.
When I'm not working, I love exploring my home on the island of Oʻahu — hiking, taking photos, hunting down fun eateries, and working on my tan. I love to sing, play piano, and perform. Fun fact: I once competed as Elvis.
